About Mike

I started Archery classes in 1987 and attained a good standard, I also became an archery coach and enjoyed the coaching. I could not attain the high standard for competitions, due to failing eyesight, so in 1996 I took up the longbow, just for the pure enjoyment of it.

In 1994 I began attending classes for T’AI CHI and slowly these became more important than the archery. By 2000 I was splitting my leisure time between my two pastimes.

In 2002 I attained my first teachers grading, and by 2007 I had achieved my third teachers grading. In April 2009 in my retirement I started a club to teach T’AI CHI in Wythall which is going from strength to strength. I now split my time between shooting the longbow, teaching in Wythall and attending courses and classes in the Midlands and Cornwall. My only regret is that I did not start T’AI CHI and shooting the longbow earlier in my life.
